The Postal Drive is sponsored by the United States Postal Service, The National Association of Letter Carriers, the Rural Carrier Association, United Way and the AFL-CIO. Letter Carriers pick up thousands of pounds of food on their postal routes, and take the food back to their postal stations. Food Bank staff and volunteers gather all the food and get it back to the warehouse. In 2009 the Postal Drive raised over 92,000 pounds of food.
