Actual food costs to the Food Bank of Lincoln can be much lower than retail, so any dollars donated represent tremendous buying power, which results in helping hungry Nebraskans. Thank you for your contribution which will be used in full support of the Food Bank’s mission to alleviate hunger in southeast Nebraska, but not necessarily be to purchase the items represented. Calculations: For every $10 spent by the Food Bank of Lincoln we distribute $70 worth of food. That represents an average of 44.3 lbs of food, which translates into approximately 34.6 meals.
