The Campaign Against Hunger is the Food Bank’s largest Food Drive. Since its humble first year in 1986 when we raised 9,187 pounds, the Campaign Against Hunger has raised 2,165,178 pounds of food, and $622,238. In 2009 this drive involved 145 corporations, law firms, medical offices, and the City of Lincoln, Lancaster County, and the State of Nebraska.

In 2009 Campaign Against Hunger we gathered 94,118 pounds of food and over $85,223. What a great drive this was.

Fact: According to USDA numbers, a person consumes approximately 25 pounds of food per week. So a person needs 3.5 pounds of food per day.
